Implemented a double-barrelled consultation for Sainsbury’s in Dorridge, where CEO at the time Justin King grew up, briefed to pull out all the stops following initial planning refusal.
Managed a community consultation to develop revised plans, followed by a second consultation to promote the new scheme, all the while opposed by an organised, funded and often-hostile local anti-group.
With a combination of substantial print, digital and face to face communications, with a unique strategic approach, we won over the majority of the community, galvanised supporters and ultimately secured permission with a resounding turn out of supporters at the planning committee meeting. Our work resulted in two industry awards.
